Dear friends,
Can you believe it’s here already? I can’t believe we’re already on the edge of Summer 2025! Here at Upward, we are already planning for the kids who are going to be blessed by our annual summer camp!
This year, we will be hosting 60 campers ranging in age from 5 to 17. Our theme is “Superhero.” By developing their faith, character, and life skills, they will discover what God has purposed them for. They will learn both Biblical and practical applications of six core words: confidence, purpose, diligence, initiative, responsibility, and compassion.
During their six weeks with us, our campers will engage in real-life simulations and skill-building exercises designed to reinforce the six core words. Our 11-17-year-olds will also lead by example as they teach the lessons they learn to younger children.
Resume writing workshops, budgeting classes, journaling, community service, and trips to local trade schools and universities will keep them busy with meaningful and impactful experiences this summer. I’m tired just thinking about it! I am equally excited about the impact that will happen in their lives!
The cost for six weeks of camp for all 60 campers is $60,000. We expanded our services from 30 kids two years ago, based on the need for and our ability to handle more kids. Thank you for helping us do that!
